overall great book for beginners

Covers everything in detail and had a useful website that helped with understanding the material. Although answers weren't given in the book, the exercises on the website provided instant feedback. I also liked the cultural references.

Lot's of errors

There are a lot of errors in this book, especially with the circe of fifths. The publishers are aware of the many mistakes in this book but no word on when and how the errors will be addressed.

Good ol' memories

I remembering when i took this class in Community College. Was extremely affordable and well worth reading at the time. I'd recommend this for those taking beginners music reading classes!
